At her heaviest, Mayra Rosales weighed an astonishing 1,036 pounds. With regards to her diet, things were clearly out of control. But sadly it was to take a tragedy to force her to take action and turn her life around.

The Texan woman Mayra Rosales was, at one point, the heaviest woman in the world. Weighing in at 1,036 pounds, she was completely bed-bound and just the smallest tasks were a massive struggle for her. She could barely look after herself.
3. Totally Dependent
She was completely dependent on her family for even the most basic tasks. Getting dressed, washing, even going to the bathroom. Rosales was incapable of walking, and at over half a ton, she couldn’t even lift herself up. The strain was just too much.
4. Heavy Load
Rosales used to take up a whole king-size bed, She couldn’t even stand up on her feet as her legs just couldn’t hold the weight.”I was alive but not living life” she said.
5. Total Dispair
Mayra was confined to just a single room in her house. She suffered from terrible bed sores. There was no telling what other discomforts she must have endured during this time. But little did she know, things were about to get much much worse.
