Ever wondered what those small, white, round, pimple like bumps around your eyes are? It’s called milia. They are commonly found in children but can also occur in persons of all ages, ethnicity and $ex and they can disappear within a couple of weeks.

Milia are formed when keratin gets trapped beneath the outer layer of the skin, forming a tiny cyst at the base of a hair follicle or sweat gland. Keratin is a protein that protects our epithelial cells from damage.
These cysts are 1-2 mm, white to yellow round shaped bumps. They are not itchy or painful and they appear on the area around the nose, cheeks and eyes. But, they can also appear on any other body part.
Milia are not harmful in any way but getting rid of them is a tough nut to crack. Finding the right method is imperative if you want your skin not to be scarred or damaged in any way. We are going to provide you simple methods of removing milia. Just follow the instructions below safely get rid of these tiny annoying bumps.
1st Method
Use a tool called comedone extractor to gently push the milia out of the small opening. When you have made a tiny tear on top of the cyst, use your tweezers to lift the milia out. Please be very gentle about it. After removing the milia, finish up with your daily skin care regimen.
2nd Method
You need something sharp or pointed such as a comedone extractor, sharp needle or very pointed tweezers. Don’t forget to rub your instrument with some alcohol to prevent infection. Cleanse your face with a water-soluble cleanser. Rinse it off with warm water. Pat your skin dry. Your skin should be completely dry before you start removing milia. Go gentle on those milia. You do not want to have scars.
3rd Method
Make a small incision on top of milium or next to it with your needle or your tweezers. This will allow you to remove the milia.
